Exploring MIcrobial netwotrking in pesticides biodeGRAdation: novel inocula and biocatalysts for biodepuration of agro-indusTrial Effluents

EMIGRATE is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions (MSCA) Individual Fellowship (IF) with the beneficiary, Sotirios Vasileiadis (PhD), acting under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dimitrios Karpouzas.

As the title gives away, the aim of the project is to explore the power of microbial and enzymatic interactions during the biodepuration of industrial effluents.

EMIGRATE will build on current knowledge through a 2-year journey and will involve: the implementation of state-of-the-art methodologies; the evaluation of the results in real-world simulating benchtop bioreactors; three secondments in internationally acknowledged laboratories; dissemination and outreach activities.
